Apple’s CEO says the nearly three-year-old iPhone 4 is an important part of the company’s strategy for expanding the ranks of iPhone owners to include first-time ever buyers.
Nearly six years into its life, the iPhone is still Apple’s most important product, but it is no longer a rocket engine propelling Apple to spectacular growth. The company sold 37.4 million iPhones between January and March , which is just 6.5 percent more than the same quarter a year ago.
